Service building, located in the urban zone of Coimbra, which is intended to the provision of local administrative services, composed by office zones in all floors, customer service located in the ground floor, storage areas/filing cabinets in the 1St and 2sc between floors., museum zone in the ground floor and meeting rooms in the 1st and 2sc floors. Has heating and cooling systems VRV type, split and multi-split and doesn’t have systems for heating sanitary waters. There is a mechanical ventilation system dedicated to the reprography space, noble hall, accounting space of the 1st between floor and to the south offices of the second between floors. It is only used electrical energy from the public network as energy fount and do not exist systems of energy production through renewable energies. The building works about 250 days/year, 10 hours/day, with almost 200 employees, with a floating occupation throughout the year and with a countless number of users. The working profiles are maintained constant, with a decrease of charge in the festive summer times. In the spaces called as offices, the working profile has a normal working schedule since 9h00 to 18h00, since Monday to Friday, the space of public attendance works since 8h30 to 16h30, however, the occupation of the building initiates around 7h00 and finishes around 20h00. The building doesn’t have nocturne occupation. In the inspection and analyze of the building was made an inventory of the constructive solutions of the envelope of the building, just as well the evaluation of their constructive weakness/pathologies. Was made the identification of the weak points in terms of thermal behavior of the envelope, supported with the utilization of the infrared technologic thecnic. Was even evaluated the quality of the inside air and the energetic consumption with air conditioning, (energetic auditing). Some of the opportunities of improvement identified in the energetic auditing, and in the severe dynamic simulations made for the building, are the collocation of thermal insulation in the roof attic, and in the envelope exterior walls, the substitution of the glazed areas for new ones, the substitution of the existing heating system for a more efficient system, and the installation of mechanical ventilation and the substitution of the lighting system.
